About Property FS
Property FS has a dedicated team of lending specialists, underwriters and support staff who are dedicated to providing residential finance solutions within NZ and overseas. Our team is based in both NZ and Australia. In particular we specialise in property investment finance, but also offer a range of services including risk management advice and property sourcing assistance.
Kris Pedersen founded Property FS after seeing areas in the residential lending market where clients were either being told 'no' (when he knew a solution was available), or given an answer which was not in their best long-term interests.
Kris has had experience in many varied areas of finance including Pacific Retail Finance where he was responsible for a team that was lending over $40m per month to on average over 3,000 customers every month of predominantly unsecured credit. Kris project managed initiatives that had been used overseas, which were light years ahead of the NZ market at that time. He still uses this strategy today in looking for new and innovative financing techniques.
From here it made sense to make a natural transition into non-bank lending to combine his long-term interest in property investment with innovative techniques of financing property. Kris joined the market leaders in innovation, General Finance who had introduced products such as 100% lending and low-doc loans into the NZ mortgage landscape. Here he excelled to the extent that he was nominated for the 2005 NZCFI Young Professional of the Year Award.
From this education and a growing desire to gain greater synergy of combining his passions for finance and property, Property FS was born.
Kris now speaks regularly at various Property Investor Assocation groups and is a respected commentator on the property and finance markets in New Zealand and overseas. He spends his time working closely with his support team sourcing clients leading edge finance strategies, his clients range from some of NZ's top property investors through to first home buyers.
